Chaar Sahibzaade, released in the year 2014, was one movie that created history and from it’s sequel, Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur, a similar outcome was expected!
Being an animated film, the first in the series saw some major dilemma in the industry and trade about an animated movie’s audience acceptance. But it did wonders that too because of it’s major publicity and off course the strong word of mouth.
This year, it’s sequel got released and the makers were expecting a tremendous box office opening for the movie but the same enthusiasm is not seen in the audiences.
The makers didn’t even bother marketing the project or making it reach out to the general public by advertising.
Is it because the makers thought that they’ve attained the mantra for success of such projects and anything made in the name of Sikh history will be accepted by the audiences with closed eyes??
Is it that the makers were so busy counting their last project earnings that they didn’t bother investing on this one??
Probably they don’t trust our Punjabi trade and technical teams?
Though many could blame it on the present demonetization scenario but that is only in India, how about overseas collections??
Chaar Sahibzaade – The Rise Of Banda Singh Bahadur saw a clash with Farhan Akhtar starrer Rock On 2 but both these films are completely different, therefore, one eating up on other’s business isn’t expected.
Well, we hope that the film is able to deliver the much needed message for humanity and peace in the world, which is the need of the hour.
